Thank you for your interest in supporting Grasping the Nettle!

Recent grants for the support of various Grasping the Nettle activities are helping the expansion and effectiveness of the GTN initiative. However, the plans and ambitions of GTN always outrun the finance available. You might therefore wish to support the delivery of:

  • GTN branded Wonder-Full World events across Scotland
  • Student screenings of The God Question series
  • GTN conferences
  • Presentations to churches/presbyteries/dioceses
  • Support of work in schools as well as the supply to them of the curriculum-related Introducing the God Question series, especially where school budgets are insufficient to buy the series for classroom use
  • Participation in community science events
  • GTN administration and support costs

Please help support GTN continue to make a difference in the home, in the workplace, in school, in the community, nationally and then internationally as other cultures find encouragement in the Scottish model.

Applying Gift Aid

By completing the Gift Aid declaration, we can reclaim an additional 25p per £1 on your order at no extra cost to you.

Gift Aid is reclaimed by Search for Truth Charitable Trust from the tax you pay for the current tax year. Your address is needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer.

Please notify the charity if you: want to cancel this declaration; change your name or home address; no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains. You can do so by writing to office@graspingthenettle.org.

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
